Applicants Sought For Vacant Lower Merion Commissioner Seat
Residents can apply to fill the seat left vacant by Paul McElhaney, who will join the Public Works Department, through noon Monday, Feb. 5.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – With Paul McElhaney resigning his role as Lower Merion Township's Ward 3 Commissioner, the township needs to fill that seat and is taking applications through early February.
Applications can be submitted now through noon on Monday, Feb. 5, township officials said.
Applicants must have lived in Ward 3, which covers part of Bala Cynwyd and Penn Valley for at least one year and be a registered voter.

The term expires in January 2020.
Candidates will be interviewed at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7 in the Township Administration Building Board Room.
McElhaney leaves the Bord of Commissioners to take on the township's Assistant Director of Public Works role.
