Ardmore Buildings Evacuated Sunday Due To Carbon Monoxide
An underground wire caught fire Sunday afternoon in the Cricket Terrace area, and several nearby buildings had to be evacuated.

ARDMORE, PA — Fire crews handled an underground wire fire in Ardmore Sunday afternoon.
According to the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore, firefighters were called to Cricket Terrance at about 3:14 p.m. Sunday for a report of a fire alarm.
On scene, firefighters found an underground wire fire next to two buildings.

Crews evacuated several nearby buildings due to high levels of carbon monoxide, the fire company said.
Bryn Mawr and Narberth ambulance crews assisted at the scene.

PECO and firefighters works together to get the situation under control in about two hours.
PECO crews then worked to restore electrical service to the area, the fire company said.
