Ardmore Home Burglarized While Residents Slept: Police

Several men broke into an Ardmore home while the residents were asleep and then tried to use credit cards they stole from the home.

ARDMORE, PA — Lower Merion Police said an Ardmore home was burglarized in late July and are asking for help identifying the suspect.

At about 3:07 a.m. on July 22, an Ardmore home was broken into while the victims were inside sleeping, police said.

Video footage in the area showed what may have been three people go into the Williamsburg Road home through an unlocked first-floor window, police said.

The suspects stole a purse containing various credit/debit cards, cash and two sets of car keys, according to police.

Someone later tried to use the credit cards in Wynnewood, Philadelphia, and Sharon Hill, police said.

Video footage from an Exxon on North 63rd Street in Philadelphia showed a man trying to use a debit card at an ATM, which was declined.

Police said a 2015 to 2017 blue Chrysler 200 sedan arrived at the Exxon at about 3:46 a.m. July 22.

A black male wearing black pants, a black t-shirt, and white sneakers exited the vehicle and was seen unsuccessfully trying to use the victim’s debit card at the ATM inside.
