Ardmore Man Shot, Killed While Delivering Pizza In West Philly

Bobby Jenkins, 30, of Ardmore, died after he was shot delivering pizza in West Philadelphia and police are calling it an ambush attack.

ARDMORE, PA — An Ardmore man working pizza delivery driver is dead after being shot in what police are calling an ambush attack Tuesday in West Philadelphia.

Police identified the victim as Bobby Jenkins, 30, of Ardmore.

According to police, the fatal shooting occurred at a property under construction on the 7600 block of Woodcrest Avenue in Overbrook Park at about 7:12 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said Jenkins was approached by a man armed with a gun while delivering a pizza to the property for Stacy's Pizza.

The man shot at Jenkins, hitting him in the chest, police said.

Neighbors heard the gunshot and one resident passing by found Jenkins in the middle of the street.

He was taken to Lankenau Medical Center where he died at 7:31 p.m., police said.
