Ardmore Music Hall Hosting Woodstock 45th Anniversary Concerts
Tribute bands will honor the music of the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Sly & The Family Stone and Janis Joplin next week.

It’s the 45th anniversary of Woodstock, and the Ardmore Music Hall wants to help local classic rock fans celebrate the milestone with special tribute concerts between Aug. 21 and Aug. 23 at 8 p.m., according to MainLineMediaNews.com.
The shows will feature cover bands playing the best music from legendary artists such as the Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.

Woodstock Weekend starts Aug. 21 with Grateful Dead tribute band Splintered Sunlight. Tickets cost $10 and doors open at 8:30 p.m.
The next night starts with Bold as Love covering Jimi Hendrix, followed by Everyday People taking on Sly & the Family Stone classics and ending with Sister Blue remembering the music of Janis Joplin. Tickets cost $15 in advance, $20 at the door, which opens at 7 p.m. The show is restricted to ages 21 and over.

The final show of the weekend on Aug. 23 has Pure Jerry going deep into the endless catalog of music from the legendary Jerry Garcia. The night will end with the self-described musical zoo of The Happy Dog, a Philadelphia-based band that swings between any number of influences, including Bob Marley and The Beatles. Tickets cost $10, and theater doors open at 8 p.m.
