Ardmore Native's Songs Land 'Greatest Showman' Soundtrack At No 1
With songs by Ardmore's Benj Pasek, the films' soundtrack has found itself at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after climbing the chart for weeks.
ARDMORE, PA – Ardmore native Benj Pasek is getting more and more attention for the song writing power he and his writing partner Justin Paul have, as the soundtrack for "The Greatest Showman" has landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Pasek and Paul won the Best original Song Gold Globe for the song "This Is Me" on Jan. 7 at the 75th Golden Globes.
Now the duo can add the chart topping success to their growing list of accolades, which include a Tony (Best Original Score, "Dear Evan Hansen") and Oscar (Best Original Song, "City of Stars" from "La La Land")among the two Golden Globes won in 2017 (Best Original Song, "City of Stars") and 2018.

Deadline Hollywood reports the soundtrack album sold 106,000 units for the week ending Jan. 4.
The soundtrack has only been on the charts for five weeks and has risen int he ranks ever since, according to Billboard.
