Ardmore Spot's Tomato Pie Among Area's Best: Inquirer

ARDMORE, PA — Tomato pies are one of the Philly area's best foods, but often get overshadowed by cheesesteaks by outsiders.

But for the uninitiated, tomato pies are a great comfort food with little to no cheese, fluffy focaccia-style crusts, sweet and savory tomato sauce, and served typically at room temperature.

And according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, an Ardmore business serves up some of the region's best tomato pies.

Kae Lani Palmisano came up with a list of the best places for tomato pies in Philadelphia for the Inquirer.

Among those featured was Carlino's Market in Ardmore.

Here's what Palmisano said about Carlino's pies:
