Basketball Cancer Benefit Set For Nov 30 At Lower Merion High
Before the event, there will be a tailgate with food, music, and live entertainment outside Lower Merion High school's Bryant Gymnasium.

ARDMORE, PA – The 14th Annual Maroon Madness cancer benefit event is all set to raise funds for the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer on Nov. 30 in Lower Merion High School's Bryan Gymnasium.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 int he gym and will be preceded by a tailgate party at 6 p.m. in front of the gym with food, music, and live entertainment, the Lower Merion School District said.
At 7 p.m., Aces Nation will head into the gym for the evening's basketball festivities and a line-up of special guests and performances.

Program highlights include the introduction of the boys and girls teams, an intra-squad scrimmage, student dances, on-court fan contests, musical entertainment and raffles for Nike gear and autographed merchandise, according to the district.
The Aces will also welcome Darryl Reynolds, class of 2012 and a member of the 2016 National Champion Villanova Wildcats, for a Lower Merion-themed live taping of his new show "Stay Tuned with D. Rey."

Entry costs just $5 which will be donated to the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer initiative. T-shirts and food will also be available for purchase.
A surprise guest artist with give a live musical performance following the activities.
Nearly 1,000 community members attended last year's event, which serves as the official start to Lower Merion's winter athletics season and the school's annual Coaches vs. Cancer fundraising drive.
The Lower Merion community has raised more than $50,000 in the past eight years to benefit cancer research, according to the district.
