Children's Book Drive Underway In Lower Merion Township
Police in Lower Merion are collecting young adult and children's books for BookSmiles through early March.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township are supporting a non-profit group whose mission is to provide books to regional children who may not have access to them.
Lower Merion Police now are collecting books for the BookSmiles non-profit group.
Those looking to support the effort can drop books off at the Lower Merion Public Safety Building lobby, 71 E. Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore.

Donations are open through March 1.
Sought are new or gently used young adult and children's books.

Donated books must not have tears, writing, yellowing, must smell, or water damage.
Books for adults, textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias, activity books, sticker books, puzzle books, workbooks, library discards, religious books, and bibles will not be accepted.
BookSmiles since 2017 has distributed more than 1.1 million books to underserved children in and around Philadelphia.
