Will Jason 'Wu' His Customers?

Here we go again—Wu for Target launches Sunday.

Ready , set, go … hopefully this time around Target will be ready for the swarms of shoppers who want their designer duds. In case you haven’t heard, Target has another A-list collaborator—this time, Jason Wu.

Wu first got international recognition for designing Michelle Obama’s Inaugural Ball dress in 2009—and what a dress that was!  Could we ever forget the one-shouldered white silk chiffon gown with those unbelievable embellishments of organza flowers with Swarovski crystal centers? I think not.

Now women everywhere can get a piece of the First Lady's incredible style. I have checked out whatever pictures I could find of the Jason Wu for Target line and some of my favorites are the peplum top, flared dress, piped handbags, and so many more. (Check out the collection here).

Based on what I have seen of the collection, I believe it will be a hit, but I doubt it will spark the frenzy of the Missoni–Target collection this time. One way that Target is attempting to keep this release more customer-friendly is by not selling Wu's collection in all of their stores. Thankfully for us in the Philadelphia area, it appears that many of the area stores (including the Plymouth Meeting location) will be carrying Jason Wu.

Thanks to social media, you can log onto their Facebook page to check. Be sure and do your research beforehand, or else you might not get the chance to be "Wu"ed away...
