Break A World Record In Ardmore By Filling Backpacks For Kids

ARDMORE, PA – Holding a world record is something few people can say, but those in Ardmore and the surrounding area may be able to say they have one, as a local author wants to break a world record while helping kids.

Nahjee Grant is hosting a school-supply-filled backpack drive in September and needs the community's help breaking the record, which stands at 3,000 in one hour.

Grant is looking for volunteers to help fill the backpacks at 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 8 at Lower Merion High School.

Filled bags will be donated to underserved communities in Philadelphia.

The effort is part of Grant's The World Was Made For You non-profit organization.

Volunteers are asked to arrive at the school's cafeteria at 1 p.m. with packing beginning at 2:15 p.m. and lasting through 3:15 p.m.

"The entire event represents a moment where people come together to not only break a world record but also help children and families in our local communities," Grant said on the event page.
