Brian McGuire Elected Lower Merion Township Board Vice President

Ward 13 Commissioner Brian McGuire was voted in to the vacant vice president seat by a 7 to 6 vote Wednesday.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Lower Merion Township Ward 13 Commissioner Brian McGuire was elected to the Board of Commissioners Vice President seat at Wednesday's commissioner meeting.

McGuire was nominated for the seat by Ward 8 Commissioner Anna Durbin.

Commissioner Scott Zelov of Ward 10 was also nominated for the seat.

McGuire was voted in on a 7 to six vote, with commissioners Durbin, Elizabeth Rogan, Rich Churchill, Andrew Gavrin, Joshua Grimes, Geroge Manos, and McGuire voting in the affirmative.

McGuire was sworn in by Township Secretary Jody Kelley, with help from McGuire’s 15-year-old son Sam, a ninth student at Lower Merion High School.

Zelov voted for himself along with commissioners Cheryl Gelber, Tiffany O’Neill, Michael McKeon, Todd Sinai, and Anthony Stevenson.

Board President Dan Bernheim abstained from both votes.
