LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion released details on recent crimes in the township.

These incidents occurred between Dec. 30, 2024, and Jan. 12, 2025.

Jan. 12

  • Theft from Vehicle (Merion Station) - The victim reported that this evening they observed an actor inside their unlocked Jeep, who then fled the area. The interior of the Jeep had been rummaged through. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
  • Theft of Vehicle (Ardmore) - The victim reported that their Honda was stolen from the street outside the residence where it was parked while visiting family. The Honda was left unlocked with a valet key inside. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
  • Theft of Vehicle (Ardmore) - The victim's unlocked Hyundai was stolen from the street in front of their residence during the evening hours. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
  • Theft from Vehicle (Ardmore) - While investigating the above theft of a vehicle, an unlocked BMW was discovered to have been entered and gone through. The victim advised they parked their vehicle in front of their friend's residence and left it unlocked. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
  • Theft from Vehicle (Ardmore) - The victim advised that their unlocked Volkswagen was entered and gone through while parked along the street this evening. It appears that this incident is in relation to the above thefts. The investigation is continuing.

  • Theft of Wallet (Ardmore) - The victim reported that their wallet was removed from their purse while shopping at a local grocery store. The victim stated that while shopping they felt someone bump into them but did not think anything of it until they went to pay and their wallet was missing. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Jan. 10

  • Burglary (Wynnewood) - Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress and upon arrival discovered a broken pane of glass in the front door of the residence. Ransacking was located throughout bedrooms of the residence. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
  • Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) - The victim reported that their Volvo was stolen from where it was parked along the street in front of their residence in the overnight hours. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Jan. 8

  • Theft of Wallet (Wynnewood) - The victim advised that the rear driver's side window of their Toyota was broken out and the interior of the vehicle had been gone through. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Jan. 7

  • Theft of Wallet (Wynnewood) - The victim advised that, while at a local restaurant, their wallet was removed from their purse while it was draped over the back of their chair. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Jan. 5

  • Theft of Wallet (Ardmore) - The victim advised that while at a local fitness center, they left their purse unattended for a few moments on a table in the cafe. They later found that the wallet was missing from their purse. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Jan. 4

  • Burglary (Merion Station) - The victims late reported that sometime during the day on January 2nd, 2025 their unlocked apartment was entered and gone through. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Jan. 1

  • Theft of Purse (Wynnewood) - The victim advised that while shopping at a local grocery store their purse was removed from the top portion of their shopping cart. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Dec. 30, 2024

  • Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) - The victim advised that their unlocked Ranger Rover was entered and gone through while parked in the parking lot of their apartment complex. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
