Car Burglaries At Lower Merion Parks Under Investigation: Police

LOWER MERION, PA — Several recent vehicle burglaries at Lower Merion Township parks are under investigation, police said Thursday.

In several incidents, unknown individuals forcibly entered parked vehicles and stole items, police said. The thefts happened while the vehicles were left unattended in the afternoon.

Lower Merion Police say they'll continue increased patrols in park areas.

Police reminded the public to:

• Always lock your vehicle, even for short periods.
• Remove or secure your valuables out of plain sight before reaching your destination.
• Park in well-lit, highly visible areas when possible.
• Call 911 immediately to report suspicious activity.
