City Avenue Lane Closing Weekdays Through Late February: PennDOT
PECO crews will be doing utility work on a section of City Avenue in Lower Merion and Philadelphia through late February, PennDOT said.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Utility work will affect a portion of City Avenue/U.S. Route 1 in Lower Merion and Philadelphia for more than a month, PennDOT said.
According to PennDOT, PECO crews will be working on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Thursday.
Work will be done from Thursday, Dec. 15 through Tuesday, Feb. 28.

The affected portion of road is at the City Avenue-Overbrook Parkway intersection, PennDOT said.
During the work, a lane will close in both directions on City Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
