City Avenue Seeing Daytime, Nighttime Lane Closures This Week

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — U.S. 1/City Avenue will have lane closures during the daytime and overnight this week in Lower Merion Township and Philadelphia, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, prepping and milling operations will force the road to have alternating lane closures in both directions this week.

The closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., then 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning Monday through Friday.

The affected portion of road is Haverford Avenue and the City Avenue Bridge over the Schuylkill River.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
