City Avenue Work Postponed: PennDOT
PennDOT said work on City Avenue in Lower Merion and Philadelphia will begin one week later now.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Work on City Avenue in Lower Merion Township and Philadelphia set to begin Monday has been postponed, according to PennDOT.
PennDOT said now work on drainage improvements and median installation will begin Monday, March 23.
Monday, March 23, through Friday, March 27, lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound City Avenue/U.S. 1 between Berwick Road and Lapsley Lane for drainage work.

Additionally, Monday, March 23, through late September, lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound City Avenue/U.S. 1 between Berwick Road and for drainage work; and 53rd Street for drainage work and median installation.
Work hours for all areas are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
