City Line Ave South Closing Weeknights Through Year's End

LOWER MERION, PA — PECO Energy is planning a nighttime lane closure on southbound City Line Avenue/U.S. 1 next week that will last several months, PennDOT said.

The road will close between Kings Grant Drive and Conshohocken State Road/Route 23. Additionally, southbound City Avenue approaching and going through the intersection with Monument Road will close too, PennDOT said.

Closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, Aug. 12.

Weather permitting, the lane closure will be in place Mondays through Thursdays and possibly Fridays through the end of the year, PennDOT said.

Crews will be conducting excavation and utility construction work.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
