Cleanup Days This Weekend At Lower Merion Public Works Complex

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Looking to do some spring cleaning, Lower Merion Township residents?

Well the township has just the thing for you as it is holding a free clean up event this weekend.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday, Oct. 7, residents can dispose of various items at the public works complex at 1300 N. Woodbine Avenue in Penn Valley.

Items accepted include appliances, textiles, plastic, glass, newsprint, and typical refuse.

Using the services at the cleanup weekend events is free of charge.

Crews will be onsite to help residents unload their unwanted items.

The Harmonious Volunteer Center will also be collecting furniture, toys, clothing and the Neighborhood Bike Works group will collect bicycles.

Hazardous waste will not be accepted at these clean up days. A household hazardous waste collection event is planned for Oct. 21 in Lower Merion, so residents can dispose of their hazardous materials.
