Coronavirus Cases Near 300 In Lower Merion, 8 Dead
Lower Merion Township has nearly 300 cases of the new coronavirus. That figure is the highest in Montgomery County.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lower Merion's coronavirus case count is about to break 300, according to new figures provided by the county Monday.
Data released Monday shows there are now 292 cases of the virus in the township.
That figure gives the township Montgomery County's highest concentration of coronavirus cases.

One hundred forty-seven men have the virus in the township; 144 women have the virus in Lower Merion. One case has not had the gender identified.
The average age of the infected Lower Merion resident is 56.5 years old.

Nearby in Narberth, just eight cases have been identified.
Lower Merion has seen eight residents die from the virus as of Monday.
Of the eight deaths, six were in their 80s and two were in their 60s. Half are women and half are men.
Overall, Montgomery County has nearly 3,000 cases with 2,923. There have been a total of 164 deaths to date.
Springfield Township has seen the most deaths, with 34 total reported Monday.
