Coronavirus Cases Top 600 In Lower Merion As 'Green' Phase Begins
Lower Merion is in the "green" phase of Gov. Tom Wolf's plan to reopen the state, but what is the latest local coronavirus data?
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — More than 600 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Lower Merion Township as the area enters the "green" phase of Gov. Tom Wolf's plan to reopen the state's economy.
As of Friday, the township has seen 603 cases of the virus. Of the 603 cases, 332 are women and 270 are men. The gender for one case is not listed by Montgomery County.
Montgomery County overall has seen 8,207 cases. Norristown has the highest case count of all Montgomery County municipalities with 1,054.

Regarding deaths, 83 Lower Merion residents have died from the virus. Of those deaths, 48 were women and 35 were men. Additionally, one person was in their 40s, one person was in their 50s, four were in their 60s, 10 were in their 70s, 39 were in their 80s, and 29 were 90 and above.
The county has seen 791 total deaths to date. Springfield has the most with 89.

Narberth Borough has a total of 21 cases and no deaths, as of Friday.
