Coronavirus Takes Another Lower Merion Resident's Life

The virus has taken the life of another Lower Merion Township resident, new data shows. Seven more cases were also found in the township.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Coronavirus-related deaths in Lower Merion Township have gone up again.

New data from Montgomery County provided Friday shows one more person have died from the virus.

The township now has seen five deaths related to the virus.

Three of the victims were in their 80s and two others were in their 60s, according to the county.

Additionally, the township has seen seven more cases since Thursday, bringing the total reported Friday to 259 cases.

Of those 259 cases, 134 are men and 124 are women. One case has not had a gender identified.

Nearby, Narberth has seven cases and no deaths.

Montgomery County has a total of 2,423 positive cases, an increase of 111 from Thursday's case count.

The county, overall, has seen 135 deaths to date.
