Delco Offering Flu Shots, Coronavirus Testing Next Week

Delaware County residents can get flu shots and coronavirus tests at the US Army Reserve in Upland next week.

UPLAND, PA — Delaware County residents can get coronavirus tests and free flu shots next week in Upland.

The county is offering drive-thru coronavirus testing and free drive-thru flu vaccinations at the US Army Reserve next week in Upland.

Coronavirus testing is available for individuals who live or work in Delaware County.

Testing will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday next week.

Both insured and uninsured residents can get tests, as long as they are 12 years or older and have coronavirus symptoms, who have been exposed to coronavirus, or are essential workers.

Test results typically take four to seven days. Residents who test positive may be called by the Chester County Health Department Disease Investigation team to complete an investigation.

Those with health insurance are asked to their insurance cards to the test site. However, there are no out-of-pocket costs or co-pays for coronavirus testing. Masks or face coverings must be worn.

On Thursday, the reserve center will host the flu clinic.

Vaccinations will be administered for free from 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Shots are available to both insured and uninsured people who are 3 years of age or older.

No appointments or preregistration are needed for the flu shots.

Note that “high dose” flu shots will not be provided.

Masks or face coverings must be worn while at the flu clinic.

The US Army Reserve center is located at 500 W. 24th St. in Upland.
