Driver Rescued From Flooded Road Tuesday: Lower Merion Officials

Lower Merion Township is urging drivers not to attempt to drive through flooded areas after a driver had to be rescued Tuesday morning.

WYNNEWOOD, PA — A driver in Wynnewood had to be rescued from the vehicle after it got stuck in flood waters, Lower Merion Township officials said.

According to officials, a driver got stuck on Penn Road under the SEPTA train tracks.

Officials are urging drivers to avoid driving through any flooded road or underpass.

"It is never safe to pass through standing or moving water during heavy rains or shortly after," officials said. "In doing so, you put yourself, your family and our first responders in danger."
