Felony Charges Filed Against Ardmore Man In Car Break-Ins
A 41-year-old Ardmore man is accused of breaking into vehicles, and police said in one instance he stole then used credits cards.

ARDMORE, PA — An Ardmore man is behind bars after authorities in Bridgeport Borough charged him with using stolen credit cards, prowling at night, theft from a vehicle, and more crimes.
Michael Young, 41, of Ardmore, was taken into custody by Bridgeport Borough Police Friday.
Young is accused of breaking into a vehicle on Wednesday in the borough.

Police said they were called to the 100 block of West Third Street in Bridgeport at about 7 p.m. Wednesday.
A Chevy Tahoe had its rear window shattered, and a man was inside the vehicle, police said.

The man was confronted, and an altercation ensued, police said.
The man then left the area and an off-duty officer directed responders to the West Fourth Street Wawa where they made contact with Young and confirmed him as the vehicle break-in suspect, police said.
Further investigation found property stolen from a vehicle at about 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 19, 2022 at the Just Enuff Lounge, 149 Boro Line Road in Bridgeport, police said.
In that incident, police said a vehicle was broken into and a wallet and credit cards were taken from it.
The victim told police in-person and online charges were made to the credit cards in Bridgeport and the surrounding area, according to authorities.
Investigators were able to link the defendant to these cases, police said.
Young is being held on $5,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 18.
Police are still investigating related thefts that occurred Dec. 3 in Bridgeport.
