Firefighters Rescue Trapped Driver From Crashed Van In Ardmore

Firefighters had to remove a door from the crashed vehicle in order to pull the driver from the wreckage, fire officials said.

ARDMORE, PA – An entrapped driver was recused from a vehicle following a crash Tuesday afternoon in Ardmore, according to fire officials.

The crash occurred at about 12:58 p.m. at East Spring Avenue and Wynnewood Road in the Ardmore section of Lower Merion township, according to the Merion fire company of Ardmore.

Crews from Penn Wynne, Belmont Hills, and the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore responded to the scene and removed a door fro the vehicle to extricate the driver.

The driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation, officials said.

There is no word on the driver's condition.
