Former Main Line Squash Coach Could Head Back To Jail
The former coach has violated his probation after pleading guilty in 2012 to having a relationship with a 16-year-old girl he coached.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – After violating his probation via a DUI charge in Bucks County earlier this year, a former Main Line squash coach who was convicted of having a sexual relationship with a teenage girl could see the inside of a cell again.
James Civello, 56, of Norristown, could see more jail time after he violated his probation by getting hit with DUI charges in Bucks County in March, 2017.
In 2012, Civello was convicted on a corruption of a minor charge after admitting to having sexual relationship he had with a 16-year-old female student in 2011 at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, where he served as a squash coach.

In that case, he was sentenced to five years of probation.
Now, he could face more jail time after being hit with the DUI charge and failing to report the charge to his probation officer, according to Main Line Media News.

This isn't the first time Civello has violated the terms of his parole or probation. In fact, it's the third time he's violated probation sentences tied to the original 2012 sentencing.
He we sent to prison for six months in 2014 after it was discovered he was living with the student he had a relationship with, who was 20 at that time.
Then in 2016, he violated his probation again and was sent to prison for nine months, as well as three more years of probation.
The whole ordeal began in 2011 when the victim's family filed a complaint July 7 with Lower Merion Township police.
The alleged victim told police the sexual relationship with Civello, her squash coach, began April 7, 2011.
She said they also had sex once at the Haverford Train Station and five times at the girl's Lower Merion Township residence, according to the criminal complaint.
The girl also said Civello provided condoms when the two had sexual intercourse, the complaint states.
"The juvenile female victim described Civello as a mentor to her," Det. Christine Konieczny wrote in the complaint.
As for Civello'a DUI charge, he is scheduled to stand trial in Bucks county on Nov. 22, according to court records.
