Free Flu Shot Clinic Coming To Ardmore Oct 8

ARDMORE, PA — Montgomery County's mission to keep its residents healthy is ongoing, and with flu season nearing health officials are looking to prevent further illnesses among residents in addition to the coronavirus.
The county is hosting free flu shot clinics around the area starting in October.
Residents can get flu shots starting Thursday, Oct. 8 in Ardmore. The clinic will be open Thursdays

The walk-up flu shot clinic will be held at 114 W. Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore, in the parking lot next to IHOP.
Appointments are required and can be made online here; each person getting a flu shot will need their own appointment. Call 610-278-5145 to get registration help.

Only individuals with appointments who have submitted their online registration forms for the selected clinic will receive a flu shot.
The flu shot is offered at no cost to those age 6 months and older who live, work, or go to school in Montgomery County.

Those getting shots should wear short-sleeved shirts. Kids who are being vaccinated should have their coats off before they see the nurse.
Health officials said not to attend the clinics if they are experiencing coronavirus symptoms within 48 hours of their appointment, have been in close physical contact with a person who is known to have COVID-19, or you are isolating or quarantining because you may have been exposed to a person with COVID-19,
Symptoms for the coronavirus are:
- fever or chills
- cough
- shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- fatigue
- muscle or body aches
- headache
- new loss of taste or smell
- sore throat
- congestion or runny nose
- nausea or vomiting
- diarrhea
