Gas Work To Affect Lancaster Ave Through Early December
PECO will be installing gas mains along Lancaster Avenue in Lower Merion, forcing closures through early December, PennDOT said.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Lancaster Avenue in Lower Merion Township will have restrictions and closures overnight for months starting next week to accommodate gas main installation work by PECO, PennDOT said.
Eastbound Lancaster Avenue/U.S. route 30 will be affected overnight next week through early December in various locations and times.
From 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning Monday through Wednesday, Sept 29, Lancaster Avenue will have a lane closure between Franklin Street and Merion Avenue.

Then Thursday, Sept. 30 through Dec. 10, Lancaster Avenue will have a closure between Franklin Street and Merion Avenue from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Lastly, the road will be closed and detoured from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning Sept. 30 through Dec. 10 between Franklin Street and Merion Avenue. During that closure, drivers will be detoured to County Line Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
