Get Out: Things to Do Weekend of Feb. 11

Theater, music, art and more this weekend in town.

It's that time of the week again. Right before you dive into your weekend planning, Patch is here to offer up some suggestions about great local events to check out in Ardmore and surrounding communities.

This week we've got a great list, including the first ever play at the new Lower Merion High School auditorium, a new art collection debuting at the Case Gallery Main Line and plenty of good music.

1. "12 Angry Jurors" at LMHS (http://patch.com/A-dVmV )

  • Where/When:  auditorium, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
  • Why Go: The first ever play to be performed in the new high school auditorium, this is a venue (and performance) you don't want to miss
  • Pricing: $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors

 

2. New Opening at the Case Gallery (www.casegalleries.com

  • Where/When: Case Gallery, 14 W. Lancaster Avenue, Friday 5-9 p.m.
  • Why Go: The Case Gallery Main Line, a new high-end fine art and photography gallery, opened in December in Ardmore. They will debut a new collection entitled "Life in Fast Forward" on Friday
  • Pricing: Free

 

3. Spread the Love at Suburban Square (www.suburbansquare.com/events

  • Where/When:  in Suburban Square, Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Why Go: Donate peanut butter and jelly to Philabundance outside of the Ardmore Farmer's Market for a chance to win a USAir raffle. DJs from mix106.1 will also be there with free giveaways.
  • Pricing: Free (and for a good cause)

 

4. Concert: The Obsoleets with Quiet Storm (milkboycoffee.com/home/calendar

  • Where/When: , Saturday 8 p.m.
  • Why Go: Milkboy's Saturday night show features a "string band and show orchestra" and a five-person harmony group. The unique bands could make for a fun night.
  • Pricing: $8 advance, $10 door

 

5. Concert: Temple University Symphony Orchestra (http://patch.com/E-dxMH )

  • Where/When: Haverford School, 450 Lancaster Avenue, Haverford; Sunday at 3 p.m.
  • Why Go: The award winning symphony orchestra will play selections from Tchaikovsky, Glazunov, Prokofiev and Sibelius
  • Pricing: Free
