Gladwyne Native To Play Lacrosse for Boston University
A Gladwyne native attending Boston University will pursue lacrosse at the NCAA Division 1 level.

A Gladwyne native will be among eight newcomers to the Boston University men's lacrosse team in 2017, head coach Ryan Polley announced on Wednesday.
Eric Haab played three seasons of varsity lacrosse for Episcopal Academy and was team captain in 2016. He was also named to the 2015 USA Today ALL-USA Pennsylvania Team.
"Eric is a pure goal scorer. Unfortunately he had an ACL injury in his senior year, but he has recovered nicely and should be ready for the fall," Polley said. "Eric scored a ton of important goals for Episcopal in his junior year and he is going to provide us some depth on attack. He's an excellent mid-range shooter and I expect him to challenge for some minutes on man-up as a lefty."

The class hails from six different states as well as Ontario. Three midfielders, two attackmen, one close defender, one long-stick midfielder and one goalkeeper comprise the incoming group, the university said.
"We're excited to welcome the Class of 2020 to Comm. Ave next week," Polley said. "This will be the fourth recruiting class in the program's history and it will obviously be a big boost to the program to finally have four full classes of our recruits. This group adds athleticism, a trio of pure goal scorers, a pair of great defenders and a top-flight goalie to our current roster. It's an exciting time for the program, and my staff and I are eager to start working with the team, especially these eight freshmen."
