Harriton HS Hosting International Baccalaureate Info Session Oct. 27

All Lower Merion School District sophomores can apply to the program.

The Lower Merion School District is hosting an information session at Harriton High School that will focus on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, the school will welcome district families to the auditorium to learn about the program that is designed to prepare rising high school students for college through providing them with values and opportunities to make sound judgement, wise choices, and respect others in the global community.

District IB Diploma Program Coordinator Thomas O'Brien said in a letter to district parents that the program is highly regarded in the college admissions process, the skills and lessons learned translate well into post-college world.

IB alumni from the district have gone on to study in place such as Scotland, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Spain, and more, O'Brien said in his letter.
