Heart-to-Heart with Extended Family

(Wynnewood, PA, June 30, 2023): Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH) invites you to participate in our virtual Heart-to-Heart event. This conversation will include extended birth and adoptive family members for an in-depth discussion on their contributions and support from the perspective of “the village.” At AFTH, we strive to highlight all the profound voices and resilient bonds formed by the adoption journey. The relationships continue to strengthen the community, and they deserve to have their stories shared as well.

This Heart-to-Heart event will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM via Zoom by AFTH social worker Amanda Alberti. Extended family members within the adoption community will discuss their part in the adoption process and how they fit into the triad. This event is free, but we always welcome donations that directly support our clients. Registration is mandatory to attend this event. All who are open to learning about extended family members’ highs and lows in adoption are welcome to join.

Adoptions From The Heart (AFTH) was founded in 1985 by Maxine Chalker, a social worker and fellow adoptee. Like many children born and placed for adoption during the 1950s, Maxine grew up with little information about her birth parents. Maxine’s dream was to give adoption a new face by breaking down the barriers and taking some of the mystery out of the adoption process.
