History Talk To Discuss Ardmore And Haverford College
The virtual history event will take place at 4 p.m. Wednesday and discuss the history of eastern border of Haverford's Campus and nearby.

ARDMORE, PA — The South Ardmore Business Association is inviting the public to attend a virtual history lesson this week.
At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the association is hosting a conversation about the history and lived experience of the eastern border of the Haverford College campus and the community closest to it, especially the section north of County Line Road, along Armat Avenue.
Topics include what can be learned about the diversity and complexity of this area from archival research; advocacy alliances between Haverford College students and Ardmore young people in the 1960s; the value of College archives for advancing local understanding, and more.

Confirmed speakers include Ardmore residents and civic leaders Regina Short and Joyce Mosley, both of whom bring strengths in understanding how their family histories carry through regional history.
Craig Bailey, Associate Professor of History at Villanova University and also an Ardmore resident, will share insights developed through his research for a forthcoming book, tentatively titled, The Myth of the Main Line.
