Housing Could Come To Suburban Square In Ardmore
A 158-unit building is planned to abut the popular outdoor shopping area.
ARDMORE, PA – As Suburban Square in Ardmore is changing a bit – the Macy's gone, a health club coming in – another change could be coming to popular outdoor area. An apartment building with ground floor shops is planned for a space right next to Suburban Square according to report.
Kimco Realty Inc. is working to acquire a 1.3 acre lot abutting Suburban Square, which itself is one of Kimco's properties, where it wants to build housing and retail space.
If the project goes ahead, it would be the first residential space in Suburban Square, bringing 158 units to the area.

The company will have to present its plans to Lower Merion Township officials next week, but if given the green light, the new building would have enough retail space on the ground floor for about six businesses, according to Philly.com.

Ideally, the project would be complete by 2018.
