I-76 Lane Closing Overnight Next Week In Lower Merion: PennDOT

In addition to the overnight closure, the shoulder on Interstate 76 will periodically close between Montgomery County and Philadelphia.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Interstate 76 west in Lower Merion township will have lanes closed overnight next week to accommodate PennDOT work.

According to PennDOT, the right lane of Interstate 76 west will close Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12 or installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems.

The lane will be closed overnight from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. the following morning both days.

Additionally, periodic weekday shoulder closures will remain in place on Interstate 76 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at various locations between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Montgomery Drive in Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

Motorists are advised to allow more time for travel in the work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur.
