I-76 West, Lancaster Ave Traffic In Lower Merion Impacted By Work

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Interstate 76 and Lancaster Avenue in Lower Merion Township will both be affected by work next week, according to PennDOT.
PennDOT said PECO will reduce Lancaster Avenue/U.S. 30 to a single lane in each direction between Bryn Mawr Avenue and Pennswood Road in Lower Merion and Haverford townships.
The restriction will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays from Tuesday, Aug. 2 through Friday, Aug. 26.

As for Interstate 76, westbound drivers will encounter a left lane closure between the City Avenue/U.S. 1 South and Belmont Avenue interchanges.
This closure will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning Thursday, August 4, and Friday, August 5 for Intelligent Transportation Systems repair.

Drivers are advised to use an alternate route or allow more time for travel in the work areas because significant backups and slowdowns may occur.
