Ice Rink Opening For Holidays In Delaware County

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — A new outdoor skating rink and winter village is coming to Delaware County just in time for the holiday season.

Four Philadelphia region business partners and friends are bringing a festive winter village to Delaware County, in an area next to Bonefish Grill, at 4889 West Chester Pike.

Flight on Ice will bring with it ice skating, holiday lighting and decor, light dining, hot cocoa, special events, and other outdoor fun.

The rink will run through at least February 2022.

Additional details, and a roster of special events, and individual ticket sales will be posted in late November after Thanksgiving.

In the meantime, season passes are now on sale for $99.99 and family four session passes are on sale for $39.99. Ticketing details are available online here.

Flight on Ice presents the Veterans Memorial Rink — a 60-by-100-foot, full-sized outdoor skating rink — with a portion of proceeds to benefit and support local veterans.

Skate rentals will be available.

On top of ice skating, visitors will be able to warm up in the heated hospitality tent, perfect for relaxing with friends and family after a skate session.

Their taste buds will be tempted with a full menu of sweet and savory treats, and more from local restaurant partners. Guests will also find merchandise and shopping, winter and holiday vibes, and great music to keep you in the holiday spirit.

Flight on Ice can also host holiday gatherings and private events at the 6,000-square-foot rink, as well as in the hospitality tent that can hold up to 100 people.

The timing of Flight on Ice’s debut in December makes it the perfect holiday destination.

During the duration of the pop-up, look for special events and programming for Christmas Week, Winter Break Week, New Year’s Eve, Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day and President’s Week.

For seasonal jobs, Flight on Ice in Delaware County will create 25 to 30 new jobs to start, with the potential to double that number during the season.
