Interim Ward 5 Commissioner Needed In Lower Merion

Ward 5 Commissioner Cherly B. Gelber retired from her seat, effective Jan. 31, after 15 years of service to North Ardmore and Wynnewood,

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — With Lower Merion Township Ward 5 Commissioner Cheryl B. Gelber retiring after 15 years of service, the township needs to fill her vacant seat.

The Board of Commissioners of the Township of Lower Merion is seeking residents of Ward 5 who are interested in being considered for appointment as township commissioner to fill Gelber's term.

The term expires in January 2020 and candidates must have lived in Ward 5 for at least one year, and a registered voter.

Ward 5 represents North Ardmore and Wynnewood.

Interviews will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20 in the Board Room of the Township Administration Building, located at 75 E. Lancaster Ave. in Ardmore.
