Interstate 76 Shoulders Closing Next Week In Lower Merion Area

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Interstate 76 will have shoulder closures next week in the Lower Merion area, PennDOT said.

Slope inspection work will force the shoulders on eastbound and westbound Interstate 76 Monday through Friday next week.

The affected portion of road is between the U.S. 202 and U.S. 1 South (City Avenue) interchanges in Lower Merion, Upper Merion, and West Conshohocken.

Closures will be periodic in sections of the highway from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
