Interstate 76 West Lane Closing In Lower Merion Next Week

The left lane of Interstate 76 west in Lower Merion will close overnight for two days next week due to PennDOT work.

LOWER MERION, PA — Interstate 76 in Lower Merion will have lane closures next week due to PennDOT work.

PennDOT said the left lane of westbound Interstate 76 will close overnight Monday and Tuesday next week as crews install Intelligent Transportation Systems.

The affected area is between Righters Ferry Road and Belmont Avenue.

The left lane will close from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning overnight Monday and Tuesday.

Additionally, periodic weekday shoulder closures will remain in place on I-76 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at various locations between the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Montgomery Drive in Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

Motorists are advised to allow more time for travel in the work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur.
