IRS Scammers Target Main Line Police Department
IRS scammers are no laughing matter as they often swindle victims out of hard-earned money. On Thursday they targeted a Main Line PD.

Scam IRS calls are no joke, as they often scam vulnerable residents out of hard-earned money. But scammers barked up the wrong tree on Thursday, as they called a Main Line police department to warn them of their debts to the IRS.
Tredyffrin Township Police shared a video on their Facebook page Thursday afternoon featuring footage of the call made to the department's cell phone.
"Well, this is awkward," police wrote on Facebook. "Apparently the 'IRS' has '4 serious allegations' against us, and the local cops may be coming to take us 'under' custody soon.

IRS scammers will make calls to people and threaten legal action if the victim does not pay their "debt."
Police said if scammers are brazen enough to target law enforcement agencies in their scams, they have no issue targeting anyone else.
