Items From 50 Philly-Area Burglaries Recovered: Authorities

Two men are accused of 50 burglaries in Delco, Montco, and Philly in 2017 and 2018. Police recovered more than 1,000 stolen items worth $1M.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA – Montgomery, Delaware, and Philadelphia county residents who have been victims of burglaries over the past year may want to get in touch with the Lower Merion Township Police Department, as it is now in possession of numerous personal items that were stolen in 50 burglaries in the tri-county area after a pair alleged burglars were busted.

Police said they have the items after partnering with Delaware and Montgomery counties' district attorney's offices in investigating the burglaries.

According to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, Leroy Boose, 57, of Willingboro, New Jersey, and Anthony McDaniels, 50, of Philadelphia, were arrested and charged in connection with the numerous burglaries, which in total resulted an estimated financial loss of more than $1 million between 2017 and 2018.

Items stolen include jewelry, electronics, antiques, clocks, musical instruments, taxidermy, artwork and G.I. Joe collectibles.

Authorities found more than 1,000 stolen items in Boose and McDaniels homes, as well as storage facilities they rented, according to the DA's office.

The pair were arrested on Feb. 11 in Lower Merion Township after 38 burglaries in Montgomery County, six in Delaware County, and six in Philadelphia, the DA's office said.

Those who contact Office Kondravyat should be ready to provide the specific number listed in the body of the photo, a brief description of the item, and the image name on the website.

Anyone outside of Lower Merion Township who was a burglary victim and is looking to recover their items must provide the name of the police department that investigated the incident.

Boose and McDaniels were arraigned Friday. Boose is being held on $3 million cash bail, and McDaniels is being held on $2.75 million cash bail, the DA's office said.
