Kids Eat Local: Positano Ristaurante

Getting time to eat out is hard enough and sometimes bringing the kids is just part of the plan. So before you go, be sure to know if Positano is the right pick for you and the kids.

Is there a kids’ menu? No, there is not a children’s menu, but the chef and staff are happy to accommodate any request.

Are there healthy options? Italian cuisine is generally very carb-focused, but healthy in the fresh, un-fried way of the word.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Be sure to alert your server to any food allergies. If your child’s allergy is severe, be vigilant. The top two allergies to be aware of at Positano would be gluten and lactose.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Positano is very, very quiet. My instincts say that unless your child is generally well behaved, or you’re seated outdoors (on Lancaster Avenue), it might be best to get a sitter. But the willingness to accomodate a children's menu request says that Positano may be more understanding than I percieved.

Is there enough room for a stroller? Yes. 

Is there a baby changing station in the restroom? No, but the restroom is large enough to roll a stroller in with you.
