Kobe Tribute Planned For Saturday At Lower Merion High School

ARDMORE, PA — On Saturday, the Lower Merion School District will pay tribute to Kobe Bryant, who graduated from the school in 1996 after leading the Aces to their first-ever state championship.
Bryant will be honored at 1 p.m. Saturday between a girls baksetball game and a boys basketball game.

Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and the seven others were killed Sunday in helicopter crash in California.
The girls will play Southern Lehigh High School at 11 a.m.; the boys will play Souderton High School at 1:30 p.m.

The district is offering limited tickets to the public who want to attend the games and Bryant's tribute.
Tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kobe Bryant Gymnasium entrance of Lower Merion High School, 315 E. Montgomery Ave. in Ardmore. Ticket sales will end at 2 p.m. Friday.
Lower Merion High School's campus will not open to ticket-buyers until 8 a.m. on Friday. After 8 a.m., short-term parking will available in the bus circle outside the gym during the ticket sale.
Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for students. Not only do tickets get you in to the games and tribute, you can use them on game day to get a commemorative T-shirt from the Lower Merion High School Student Council, while supplies last.
All sales are cash only and there is a limit of six tickets per person, while supplies last, the district said.
