Lane Closing Overnight On Interstate 76 In Lower Merion

Single lane closures will be in place on Interstate 76 west between the U.S. 1 and Belmont Avenue interchanges​ starting Sunday.

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA —Part of Interstate 76 west in Lower Merion and Philadelphia will have overnight lane closures through early September, PennDOT said.

According to PennDOT, single lane closures will be in place on Interstate 76 west between the U.S. 1 and Belmont Avenue interchanges starting Sunday.

Crews will be doing boring and other drilling work, PennDOT said.

The lane closure will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, Sundays through Fridays, through Thursday, Sept. 1.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route or allow more time for travel in the work area because significant backups and slowdowns may occur.
