Lanes Closing On I-76 Overnight Next Week: PennDOT

Milling, paving, and other work will force lane closures on a portion of Interstate 76 in both directions next week, PennDOT said.

PHILADELPHIA — Interstate 76 will have an overnight lane closure next week due to milling, paving, bridge repair, and guiderail replacement work, PennDOT said.

The closures will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning, Monday through Friday next week.

Closures will be between the U.S. 1 South (City Avenue) and Spring Garden Street interchanges and will affect traffic in both directions.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

This work is part of a $36.8 million project to resurface and repair nearly five miles of the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps, and more than 20 bridges.
