Lankenau Medical Center ER Staff Treated To Donated Meals

ARDMORE, PA — Emergency room staff at Lankenau Medical Center got some barbecue to keep them going as they work during the coronavirus pandemic.

On Thursday evening, ArdmoreQ BBQ and Triton Benefits & HR Solutions teamed up to donate meals to the hospital's ER workers.

In total, 85 meals were donated to the department.

Triton donated 65 and Brian Duffy of ArdmoreQ BBQ donated 20 meals.

The partnership came about to support health care workers on the front lines of the virus fight.

"We didn’t want to donate the usual pizza or sandwiches, we wanted to be different," said Steve Rosenthal, CEO of Triton Benefits and Solutions. "I came up with the idea of BBQ food and reached out to ArdmoreQ BBQ to see if they would be willing to cook the food and help deliver.

Rosenthal said if the pandemic keeps going on for a few more months, more donations are likely. He said more meals or PPE donations are on the table for a potential second donation.
