'Lest we Forget' Art Show at Harcum College

The opening date for the ”Lest we Forget” art show will be on September 9, 2014 from 4 - 7:30 pm. The art show is FREE and will be open to community and friends and will include light refreshments as well as original work by artist Joan Myerson Shrager. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet with the artist as she will be in attendance for the opening reception.

Artist Statement for Joan Myerson Shrager:

Like so many others, 9/11 is seared into my head and heart. As an artist I find I am able to express my feelings best in my art. I join the artists in each generation who spoke through their art. 9/11 has scarred us all forever. We can never be the same. That was the weekend of my grandson's first steps and I kept thinking about the world he was stepping in to.
