LMHS Robotics Team Hosting National Kick Off Event Saturday
Lower Merion High School's award-winning Dawgma 1712 Robotics Team will host their first-ever national kick-off at the school this weekend.

ARDMORE, PA – An award-winning Lower Merion High School Robotics team is hosting its first-ever national kick-off event Saturday.
The Dawgma 1712 Robotics Team will host the event at Lower Merion High School Saturday, Jan. 5 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
At the event, schools from across the country are either in attendance or watching via live stream as the rules for the 2019 robotics games are revealed.

From that day, teams have six weeks to build a robot to play the game and compete with their robots at different events throughout the year.
On a separate note, Dawgma also has partnered with Judith Creed Homes for Independence (JCHAI) to create a class that teaches robotics to adults with developmental disabilities and members of JCHAI will be returning the favor and volunteering at the kick-off event.

Dawgma 1712 is a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team which operates with four core values: passion, perseverance, leadership and community.
Dawgma strives to promote science, technology engineering and math (STEM) and works to strengthen STEM education in every way possible.
